Bilic: Big clubs wants to nick Payet, but he’s STAYING at West Ham

first_img1 West Ham boss Slaven Bilic has conceded big clubs are interested in Dimitri Payet, but is certain the Hammers’ talismanic midfielder WILL remain at the club. Payet has impressed on international duty for France at Euro 2016, picking up from where he left off for West Ham last season. A stand-out star whose free-kicks and creative play made him one of the Premier League’s most exciting players and has led to interest from Europe’s elite clubs. But Bilic is convinced Payet will be lining up in the famous Claret and Blue as the east Londoners begin a new era at the Olympic Stadium. Bilic told the Daily Mail: “I understand that with his success, all the speculation about his future will follow. “I have even seen one report suggesting I don’t want him to do well in case it leads to him leaving West Ham. That is not right. I want him to play great. I want him to score a hat-trick and another hat-trick in the final.“I know then that the giant clubs will come but I would love him to stay at West Ham. We have texted each other over the last three weeks and he is happy at the club. He is our player.” Bilic is convinced Payet will be a West Ham player at the start of next season last_img
